Finex Oy is a privately owned company manufacturing tailor-made performance polymers and ion exchange resins for business customers. Our company is in the city of Kotka which is located on the south coast of Finland, 133 km east of Helsinki.

Finex was founded in 1990 to continue the development and manufacturing of ion exchange resins which had been started initially by the well-known company Finnsugar Ltd. Since then the product range has expanded remarkably and the ion exchange resin technology know-how has led to totally new products and applications.

Today Finex is supplying globally their specialty products to three types of business areas:

  • Continuing to supply chromatographic separation resins to foodstuffs and sweetener industry, since 1979
  • Powdered resins for condensate polishing, including nuclear power stations, since 1992 
  • Special polymers as fillers for investment casting industry, whose final customers are aeronautical, gas turbine and other manufacturing industries, since 1996

Finex’s philosophy is to develop, manufacture and market polymer based performance products for high tech companies, who will use these in their own manufacturing processes.

We serve our global customers by supplying special polymer-based products, which play essential role in their ongoing manufacturing processes. These materials are often needed in small quantities (when compared with conventional products) and require a high level of individual customer service.
